I had a fun conversation with a friend yesterday about business. We have fun conversations now and then about business ideas and ways to extend our income a bit. He shared with me an experience from a previous life where he worked with a business that sold tumbleweeds. (Yes, tumbleweeds…) In fact, as a result of our conversation I had to go look up the sale of tumbleweeds and found that there actually are a number of people selling them, and some that FARM them… (I’m sure the shipping companies love shipping huge boxes that weigh almost nothing…)
The end of our conversation was us realizing that there are often things that people need, that most wouldn’t realize would be marketable. When I see a tumbleweed roll down the street, I’ve always thought of ghost towns and emptiness, but someone had the smarts to see that as dollar bills rolling across the road in front of them.
Look around, and see if you can find yourself your own tumbleweed.
